KTM Commuter Concept

Concept No.2 . A simple commuter bike for all of you businesspeople. Simply a carefree bike that you can ride summer & winter without gearing problems etc.. Perfect pedaling and cosy geometry because of very low BB and very slack headangle (like freeride MTBs). Also the theft security is important and much improved, many parts are generic, not usable on other bikes, all important screw joints are keylocked (headset, wheels, saddle), integrated bike lock.

Bike comes with mudguards and backpack for your briefcase/attache. If there will be a luggage rack, i don't know.

...sad thing is, i am almost sure that i won't continue this concept in favour of the speedbike ;)

Here you have it, the final handbuild model of my QTender :) ...blood, sweat - ok no tears, haha - 3 hardcore weeks in the work- and paintshop. I hope i never have to do that again.

...also i can claim that we get many many props from the racingteam and all other involved people, they are all freakin out about the design of the car :) ...so stay tuned! Will give you some further spy shots when possible. Official rollout scheduled on april 27th.

Seems like it will be white power again! (Hat tip to BMW - and all of you who don't know about this joke and what i mean with "white power", be quiet, it isn't always all about cultural differences on the net.)

...da durchweg alle Modellhelicopter hässliche Rümpfe und noch hässlicheres Styling haben (is ja eh ziemlicher Nerdstuff, wahrscheinlich interessierts deshalb niemanden... aber da bin ich ja genau richtig.) - hier mal ein kleines Rendering in Painter, wie ich mir einen G5 ohne Augenschmerzen vorstellen könnte :) (is eh schon styletechnisch der sehenswerteste Rumpf dens zu kaufen gibt - sorry Chris ;P ), sehr gestreckte Chassis, tiefes, nach vorn geneigtes Landegestell)

...hoffe er gefällt!

JRX Erlkönig...

Da wir beschlossen haben, bis zum Rollout jede weitere Designinfo zurückzuhalten, um die Spannung aufrecht zu erhalten (für die Leute die es interessiert :P ), habe ich alle Sketches/Renderings zum JRX gelöscht. In Kürze wird es aber sicher wenigstens ein Bild vom Erlkönig geben, nächste Woche ist Konstruktionsfreeze mit Präsentation.

Nach dem Rollout im April 2010 werd ich selbstverständlich wieder Material + Fotos raufladen ;)

Wer unbedingt mehr Infos will (die kriegen natürlich nur Leute, die in keiner direkten Beziehung zum Projekt stehen :P ) ...mail/skype me.

QTender goes Bang & Olufsen

Update zum QTender. Der Entwurf zum skulpturalen Kontrapunkt steht, (Ich sag nur StarWars Naboo Fighter reloaded!!) ...jetzt gehts ans Modellbauen (Schweißausbruch bei jedem Mal dran denken!) - soll bis Weihnachten fertig sein!

...danach gehts an ein Redesign, jetzt in Bezug auf die Formensprache einer expliziten Marke. QTender goes B&O - From Space Ship to Minimalistic - Das wird ein Spass! (ernstgemeint!)

Das Design für B&O wird es aber nur in einer 3D Variante und nicht als echtes Modell geben.
